Gather Around Good Food. This half day event will bring people together to connect over good food. As the Good Food Nation Act moves closer with the requirement for detailed local food plans, this opportunity to look at all aspects of food in Stirling has never been more timely.
Our Aims for This Event
Join us to network and strengthen Stirling, aiming to become a Sustainable Food Place where we:
- Promote diversity and inclusivity in our food system, celebrating the cultural richness of our area. We also work to create fair opportunities for all people to access good, healthy food.
- Reduce food waste and promote sustainable approaches to food production and consumption. We prioritise local and seasonal food where possible.
- Encourage the development of community-led initiatives to grow and provide local food. This includes supporting garden projects, urban agriculture, food co-ops, and similar endeavors.
- Collaborate with local schools, businesses, and organizations to promote healthy eating habits. We use education and outreach to empower people to make informed food choices.
- Support sustainable food businesses that prioritise ethical and environmentally-friendly practices. We achieve this by promoting and celebrating their work, as well as creating opportunities for them to thrive.
