Tesco funds for food and healthy activities in Clackmannanshire with young people and schools

Dec 14, 2023

Greenspace Scotland is welcoming applications to ‘Tesco’s Stronger Start Fund’ from schools and organisations that work with young people to provide nutritious food, projects that provide healthy food or activities that boost young people’s mental and physical wellbeing. The deadline is February 2024 for awards in August 2024.

Schools and organisations working with young people in Clacks are being particularly encouraged to apply by Greenspace Scotland as a region that has been underrepresented previously, compared to neighbouring regions.

Funding up to £1500 is available for projects. Tesco customers will be able to choose which project receives the most funding by voting in-store every time they shop. The scheme is open to local authorities, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations via an on-line application form.

Applications for local projects are invited for the April – June customer votes with awards in August 2024. To be considered for this in-store voting period applications need to be submitted by early-February. Applications received after this date will be considered for future voting rounds.

Greenspace Scotland’s team of friendly Community Enablers can support you to apply or answer any questions. To find out more or to apply, please visit the Tesco Stronger Starts page. https://www.greenspacescotland.org.uk/grant-funding
